Haycobs are a natural product. Over 50 varieties of Bavarian alpine grasses and herbs are cut from in excess of 1000 acres and there will be variations in the analyses due to number of cuts per year, time of cut, weather, location of field, etc.

When feeding HayCobs dry, feed them completely separately rather than as part of a wet mash or sprinkled on top of a hard feed. Your horse must be able to chew them thoroughly to stimulate saliva production. However, if your horse is prone to bolt their feed or has a history of choke, do not feed dry. Instead, soak thoroughly to make a safe mash before feeding.
Preparation and soaking guidelines: For veterans or horses with poor dental condition, HayCobs can be pre-soaked with warm or cold water to make a soft, tasty forage mash. When served as a mash, it acts as an excellent, highly palatable carrier for mixing Thunderbrook Synergy, Daily Essentials, or other nutritional supplements. If soaking the HayCobs, we recommend that you soak them for at least 3 hours, or preferably overnight, to guarantee there are no hard centres left in the mash before serving.
